Shred Day Returns to Postville on April 18
If you’ve got a stack of old tax returns, bank statements, or paperwork with personal information sitting around, now’s a good time to take care of it.
FreedomBank is hosting a free Community Shred Day on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at our Postville location. It’s a simple way to securely dispose of sensitive documents and reduce your risk of identity theft.
We’ll have a professional shredding truck on-site from Tri-State Shred, so your documents are destroyed right away. You’re welcome to stay in your vehicle while our staff helps unload, or watch the shredding process if you’d like that extra peace of mind.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026
- Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Location: FreedomBank parking lot, 135 W Tilden, Postville
- Cost: Free and open to the public
Each person may bring up to three boxes or five grocery bags of documents. Please plan to take boxes back with you after unloading, as they cannot be shredded.

“After tax season, many of us are left with piles of sensitive paperwork,” said Adam Weigand, Market President at FreedomBank. “Shred Day gives our community a secure, convenient way to protect personal information and prevent identity theft.”
