FreedomSavers Kids Club is a savings program for kids 13 and under that teaches the basics of
saving, goal setting, and smart spending. With help from Skyler the Kite, kids learn how money works while
building
confidence and good habits that last.
How to Join FreedomSavers Kids Club
Children can become a FreedomSavers Kids Club member by visiting any FreedomBank location with a parent or
legal guardian.
Locations: Elkader, Monona, Postville, or Waukon
Accounts for children may be opened as a UTMA (Uniform Transfers to Minors Act) or a joint account with a
parent or legal guardian.
Please contact FreedomBank for documentation requirements when opening an account.
Already Have a Savings Account at FreedomBank?
If your child is age 13 or under and already has a savings account at FreedomBank, stop in and
talk
with a Customer Service Representative about converting it to a FreedomSavers Kids Club account.

Account Details
Opening & Deposits
- Minimum opening balance: $10.00
- Minimum deposit: $1.00
- Unlimited deposits allowed
Interest
- Interest is compounded daily and credited quarterly
- Accrued interest will not be paid if the account is closed before the interest payment date

Withdrawals
- Minimum withdrawal: $1.00
- Up to six debits per monthly statement cycle with no penalty
- $5.00 fee for each withdrawal over six per month
Growing with Your Child
- The FreedomSavers Kids Club account converts to a student savings account at age 14
