FreedomBank Donates $5,000 to Child Care Project in Decorah

FreedomBank is pleased to announce its $5,000.00 contribution towards the Sunflower Child Development and Discovery Center's New Building Campaign in Decorah, Iowa. For more than 119 years, FreedomBank has invested in community projects that empower success in rural Iowa.

The Sunflower Child Care Development & Discovery Center Project aims to raise funds for, design, and construct a state-of-the-art child development center in Decorah, Iowa. They will provide child care for 214 children ages six weeks to 12 years, with room to expand when completed. The new center will be a model of sustainability and designed to minimize energy consumption by utilizing solar, geothermal, and LED lighting.

"As a local employer, we value the quality care and education provided by community daycare centers like Sunflower Child Care. We appreciate their dedication to serving the needs of Northeast Iowa families, and we are happy to support this initiative to overcome child care shortages in the area," shared Kathy Mueller, FreedomBank CEO and President.
